Work with us

Partner with Periodica

Periodica is a period care marketplace in Canada. It opens as a reading room first. The shop is being built now.

We would like to hear from people who want to work with us. Choose the card that fits you. Each button opens an email with a short list of details to fill in.

Nothing is agreed by email. We may write back with questions, and we talk before anything is decided.

For vendors

Who it is for

Brands that make period care products and would like them on our shelves.

What working together could look like

The shop is being built now, and we are choosing our first vendors.

What we plan to sell:

  • Period pads and liners
  • Tampons
  • Cups
  • Discs
  • Period underwear
  • Reusable period pads
  • Comfort and care
  • Products we plan to carry. Your products fit one of the types above.
  • A Health Canada licence where one is required. Tampons, cups and discs sold in Canada must be licensed by Health Canada. Please include the licence numbers in your email.
  • Your own claims. You write your own product descriptions and you are responsible for the claims in them. They need to be true and meet Canadian rules.
  • Shipping to customers in Canada. Periodica does not hold stock. When a customer orders, you ship the order to them directly.

Products go on the shelves only when the shop opens.

For charities

Who it is for

Registered charities in Canada that work on period poverty or on access to period products.

What working together could look like

Periodica is a company, not a charity, and does not collect donations. We would like to learn what you do and to talk about working with partner organizations in the future.

We have not chosen partners or decided what a partnership will include. Your email helps us decide. We may write back to ask about your work.

For researchers

Who it is for

People who study periods, period products, or access to them, in a university, a hospital, a public body or a non-profit.

What working together could look like

The Editor reads published research to write the Reading Room. We would like to know about work in this field and to talk about ways to work together.

Periodica is not a research institution and does not recruit research participants. We do not ask readers for health details, and we have no health data or patient records to share. We do not give readers’ personal information to researchers.

We have not decided what a collaboration will include.

Get involved

Who it is for

People 18 or older who would like to hear when there is a way to take part.

What it could look like

Nothing is open yet. Tell us what interests you, and we will email you if something opens in that area. Registering interest does not commit you, or us, to anything.

  • Reader panel. Now and then, we may ask for your opinion on a page or an idea, in a short survey. Answering is always optional. There are no hours, deadlines or ongoing duties.
  • Paid freelance work. When we need paid help, such as French translation or sensitivity reading, we will describe the work and the pay when we post it.
  • Community programs with partner non-profits. If we support a program run by a partner non-profit, the non-profit runs it, and any volunteering is with that non-profit, for its program.

You need to be 18 or older to register interest.
